Our aim is to provide a rich and supportive child centred learning environment that is age and developmentally appropriate and where each child is recognised and valued.
In the Wonderland room we create a happy, safe and stimulating environment where children are motivated to learn together. By maintaining high expectations of ourselves and each other, our children will be equipped to encounter opportunities and challenges with resilience and determination. We encourage a curiosity about the world and strive to ensure that our children will contribute positively to it.
We provide many opportunities for our children to practise and develop their speaking, listening, physical, emotional and self-regulation skills. We work with the children to provide and support their independence and teach skills such as turn taking and sharing.
The Wonderland Room encourages independence especially at mealtimes and with toilet-training. As children get older, the activities will start to develop more structure but will remain flexible to cater for each child’s individual needs.
