In the Wizard of Oz room, our children will start to find their feet and grow in confidence and resilience. We will aid them in their journey to be more independent and to take self-assessed risks. We promote their ever-increasing vocabulary and enable them to become socially strong and form positive relationships.
The room is designed for those children who are walking and playing alongside their peers. The environment and resources focus strongly on exploratory, investigatory and sensory play experiences.

Meet the Wizard of Oz Room Staff
In the Wizard of Oz Room, the staff know the importance of supporting children at an early age in order to help them reach their full potential throughout life. The children are encouraged to achieve their development goals through individual weekly activities that are planned by their Key Person, which link to their interests and abilities. Alongside this, the children are provided with the opportunity for frequent outdoor play, and ‘messy’ sensory activities. These keep the children stimulated, as well as allowing them to explore and learn through their senses.
