We aim to provide an interesting and exciting environment for the children to learn in, allowing lots of smiles, happiness and fun.
We strive to help our children achieve new skills and milestones through a vast range of adult-led and child-initiated activities. The activities we provide allows an openness to spark their imagination; are all unique to cater for different abilities and linked to the children’s interests. This allows hidden learning to be acquired through play, all whilst having lots of fun!
We focus closely on the topic of emotions, supporting children to be able to recognise and express the emotions they may be feeling as well as the emotions of others around them. We support the children with beginning to learn how to share with others through frequently playing turn-taking games. We start to increase their independence skills and offer more opportunities for self-help skills which also promotes our children’s confidence.
The Secret Garden Room is a language rich environment providing children with a thoughtfully designed learning area which aims to develop the children’s language and communication skills. Throughout the room there are different activities to encourage the children’s social skills, help aid friendships, sharing and turn taking
